From January 14 to January 17, Ms. Sylwia Cygan-Korecka, Director of International Department,AGH Universityof Science and Technology, Poland, and Ms. Katarzyna Gawron, Director of International Students Center visited Anhui University of Science and Technology. Vice-President Meng Xiangrui met with theguests on the afternoon of January 14.

Meng Xiangrui first welcomed the delegation and introduced the generalsituation of AUST from the aspects offaculty, student training, discipline setting, scientific research and international exchange. Meng noted that AGHUniversity of Science and Technology is one of the first overseas universitiesto establish partnership with AUST and in recent yearsthe cooperation between the two parties has become increasingly close. AUST hopes to explore with AGHUniversity of Science and Technology and expand higher education cooperation between them through such approaches as student exchange programs and scientific cooperation. Sylwia Cygan-Korecka and Katarzyna Gawron briefed the AGH University of Science and Technology on international cooperation andoverseas studentstraining. They expressed their hopeof expanding bilateral exchanges and cooperation between the two parties.

Vice President Meng Xiangrui met the delegation

The two parties have reached consensus on conducting students exchange programs, teachers’ training programs, joint-education program of Survey and Mapping Engineering. Besides, they changed ideas on the schedule of the International Mining Forum co-organized by the two sides, and some other issues of common interests.

Representatives from International Cooperation and Exchange Office, School of Energy and Safety, School of Surveying and Mapping attended the meeting.
