In the afternoon of May 10, 2018, Shaoshi Chen, associate professor of CAS, was invited to visit our hospital and made an academic report entitled "Creative Telescoping" to the teachers and graduate students of the related major.

In the report, Shaoshi Chen, an associate professor, first introduced the contents of Zeilberger's method and telescoper, and then introduced some of her research work. The teachers and students who participated in the report said that this seminar enriched their professional knowledge and opened up their own horizons.

Shaoshi Chen, the main study of symbolic computation, the calculation of differential algebra and Algebraic Combinatorics (Wilf-Zeilberger method, form power series theory, etc.), is now the associate professor of the Institute of mathematics and systems science, Chinese Academy of Sciences.In 2011, CAS jointly graduated from Ecole Polytechnique,Paris,France.He had been engaged in postdoctoral work at the Institute of symbolic computing, Linz University in Austria, the North Carolina State University in the United States, the Fields Institute of mathematics in Canada and the Waterloo symbol computing research group. In 2013, he returned to work in the Institute of mathematics and systems science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was promoted to associate research fellow in 2017. He chaired the National Natural Science Youth Fund and the Ministry of education returned overseas research fund successively.More than 20 papers have been published in“Journal of Symbolic Computation”,“Journal of Algebra”,“Advances in Applied Mathematics”,“Journal of Comb-inatorial theory”,“Series A”,etc. He won the“ISSAC2014 outstanding Poster Award”and the Academy of mathematics and systems science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences awarded the award of scientific research achievements in 2014.He was elected to the seventh China Academy of Sciences "Chen Jingrun future star" talent plan and the Chinese Academy of Sciences 2018 annual Youth Innovation Promotion Association member.
