Nearly 70 teachers and students who are occupied in groups from more than 10 institutions of higher learning, including Peking University, Beijing university of aeronautics and astronautics, institute of mathematics and systems, Chinese academy of sciences, Xiamen University, Central China Normal University and other research institutes and research institutes participated in the seminar.

On the morning of December 22, the seminar opened in lecture hall 201, Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics, Hubei University. The seminar was presided over by professor Heguo Liu. Professor Xiangyong Zeng, dean of the school of mathematics and statistics of Hubei University, delivered a speech in which he introduced the discipline construction, discipline development and discipline characteristics of the college. He expressed his welcome and thanks to all the participants and hoped that they could have more exchanges and get sparks of ideas.

Professor Jiping Zhang of Peking University said in his speech at the opening ceremony that academic exchanges and cooperation are the general trend. Only by conducting more exchanges, cooperation and discussions can research be carried out in a better and deeper way. He also thanked Hubei University for hosting the seminar.

During the meeting, relevant experts and scholars made wonderful reports on the theme of "finite groups and their representations", which respectively introduced their current research work and issues of interest, discussed the conjecture and issues related to groups and their representations in depth, and exchanged the forefront and development of the issues concerned. We got together, discussed with each other and gained a lot.
